The Treasure Of Light / 光の宝

The inspiration of this movie came from the true story of Mika Kusama. A young Japanese lady murdered in 2002 on the Isle of the Pines in New Caledonia. This place called Kunyié in Kanak language means the closest island of paradise.
Mika body was found on the Kanumera rock (photo below).

The movie title came from the idea of Japanese custom about when someone passed away, the family can change the deceased name. Mika’s mother changed for ” 宝 ”, which means Treasure.

The Treasure Of Light, gives you the freedom to interpret and feel what you want to see through the pictures…

Mika’s blood flowing on Kanak land. She returns to her ancestors.
